Phase 1: Cold & Dark Power Up Flow
Overhead & EFB Initialization Flow
- Check ENG MASTER 1 & 2 are completely OFF on the lower pedestal. Pedestal
- Verify LANDING GEAR LEVER is safely down and locked DOWN. Pedestal
- Turn BAT 1 & BAT 2 push buttons to ON. Verify indicator voltage reads > 25.5V. Overhead
- Verify green EXT PWR AVAIL light is lit on overhead. Overhead
- Click the top/side physical button to power on the FlyFenix EFB iPad. EFB
- In EFB Ground Services, verify WHEEL CHOCKS are set, then request GPU connection. EFB
- Press green EXT PWR push button to route ground power into aircraft ON (GREEN). Overhead
- Switch all three ADIRS rotary selectors (1, 2, and 3) from OFF to NAV. Overhead

Phase 2: MCDU & SimBrief Setup
Fenix MCDU & EFB Initialization Method
- On the EFB MyFlight page, tap Import from SimBrief to load active flight data. EFB
- Go to EFB Mass & Balance page, verify payload/fuel values, and click LOAD AIRCRAFT. EFB
- On MCDU: Press the MCDU MENU key, select ATSU > AOC MENU > FLT INIT. MCDU
- Click LSK 2R (INIT DATA REQ) to send a telemetry data request. MCDU
- Press INIT key on physical keyboard to access the INIT A page. MCDU
- Press LSK 1R (INIT REQUEST*) to populate the route, flight number, and alternate. MCDU
- Enter the COST INDEX (LSK 5L) and CRZ FL / TEMP (LSK 6L). MCDU
- Press NEXT PAGE arrow key to open the INIT B fuel/weight configuration page. MCDU
- Double-click LSK 1R (ZFW / ZFWCG) to calculate and lock empty weights once EFB loading finishes. MCDU
- Manually enter the SimBrief BLOCK FUEL load weight into LSK 2R. MCDU
- Open the EFB T/O PERF app to compute takeoff performance (V1, VR, V2, Flex Temp, Flaps/THS). EFB
- On MCDU PERF page, insert the calculated V-speeds, Flex Temp, and Flaps/THS (e.g. `1/UP0.2`). MCDU

Phase 3: ATC Clearance & Engine Crank Sequence
Engine Ignition & Start Control Path
- Obtain clearance via ATC voice network or PDC digital request in MCDU ATSU. MCDU
- Turn on ALL 6 FUEL PUMPS (Left, Right, Center) on overhead fuel panel. Overhead
- Switch on the APU MASTER SW, wait 3 seconds, then press APU START. Overhead
- Once the green APU AVAIL light turns on, set APU BLEED to ON. Overhead
- Turn off overhead EXT PWR. On EFB, release GPU and request chocks/boarding bridge removal. EFB
- In EFB Ground Services, ensure all cabin doors are closed and emergency slides are armed. EFB
- Switch the red BEACON LIGHT to ON before pushback. Overhead
- Rotate the ENG MODE SELECTOR from NORM to IGN/START. Pedestal
- Flip the ENG 2 MASTER switch up. Monitor N2, N1, and EGT rise on the ECAM, and wait for green AVAIL. Pedestal
- Once Engine 2 is running, flip the ENG 1 MASTER switch up. Pedestal
- Set ENG MODE SELECTOR back to NORM. Pedestal
- Turn APU BLEED OFF and APU MASTER SW OFF. Overhead

Taxiing and Takeoff Configuration Flow
- Set your FLAPS handle to the computed takeoff flaps configuration (usually Flaps 1 or 2). Pedestal
- Manually adjust the mechanical wheel to set the aircraft's THS Pitch Trim computed angle. Pedestal
- Arm the GROUND SPOILERS by pulling the speed brake lever up. Pedestal
- Set AUTO BRK knob to MAX. Pedestal
- Conduct a full manual sweep to verify FLIGHT CONTROLS range on the ECAM F/CTL page. Pedestal
- Turn NOSE LIGHT to TAXI and RWY TURN OFF to ON. Overhead
- On pedestal: Set TRANSPONDER mode to TA/RA and PRED WSHR to AUTO. Pedestal
- Press the T.O. CONFIG push-button; check for "T.O. CONFIG NORMAL" message on the ECAM. Pedestal
- Press CABIN CALL button to signal cabin crew ready. Pedestal
- Prior to entering runway: Set NOSE LIGHT to T.O. and turn on STROBE LIGHTS (ON). Overhead

Arrival Configurations to Cold State Flow
- Obtain ATIS, then calculate landing performance on the EFB Landing Performance tool. EFB
- Go to MCDU PERF APPR page and enter QNH, temperature, wind, and MDA/DH minimums. MCDU
- Set barometric altimeter to local QNH when passing transition height (push baro knob). Glareshield
- Configure AUTO BRK to LO or MED. Pedestal
- Extend landing gear and deploy flaps in increments as speed decays. Pedestal
- After landing and vacating active lines: Set Flaps to 0 and disarm ground spoilers. Pedestal
- Turn NOSE LIGHT to TAXI and STROBES to AUTO/OFF. Overhead
- Turn APU MASTER SW and APU START switches to ON. Overhead
- When parking at the gate: Set APU BLEED to ON when APU is AVAIL, then set PARKING BRAKE to ON. Overhead
- Toggle ENG MASTER 1 & 2 down to OFF. Pedestal
- Turn the BEACON LIGHT to OFF and turn ALL 6 FUEL PUMPS to OFF on the overhead. Overhead
- On EFB Ground Services, request chocks, boarding bridge, and GPU connection. EFB
